Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Milford). Everything went their way against the Seaford Bluejays on Thursday as they made off with a 19-2 victory. The Buccaneers haven't had any issues with the Bluejays recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.
Tenley Lord made a big impact no matter where she played. She tossed 4.2 innings while giving up just two earned runs off two hits. Lord was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with one home run, two runs, and two RBI.
In other batting news, Milford got a massive performance out of Adri Fountain, who went 3-for-4 with three stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs. Another player making a difference was Kenzie Patten, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with two stolen bases, four RBI, and two runs.
Milford kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Seaford only managed three hits.
Milford pushed their record up to 5-4 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.0 runs over those games.
