It's playoff time, and Georgetown had no trouble coming through when it counted. Their defense stepped up to hand the Friendswood Mustangs a 6-0 shutout on Friday. The result was nothing new for Georgetown, who have now won 12 matches by three goals or more so far this season.

Georgetown has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-2-3 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 31 goals over those nine games. Friendswood moved to 21-3-1 with that loss, which also ended their 20-game winning streak.
