Softball Recap: Indian Creek Takes a Loss

If Indian Creek was feeling good fresh off their 14-3 takedown of Brooke last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Redskins came up short against the Carrollton Warriors on Friday, falling 19-7. The Redskins were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Warriors apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.

Kylie Dray was cooking despite her team's loss, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with one home run and two runs. Emma Vok also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen bases of the season.

Indian Creek's loss dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Carrollton, their victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 4-0.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Indian Creek will welcome Brooke at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Redskins are facing the Bruins at the right time seeing as the Bruins are stuck on an 11-game losing streak. As for Carrollton, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Marlington at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
