Football Game Preview: Williams Yellowjackets vs. Biggs Wolverines

The Williams Yellowjackets will challenge the Biggs Wolverines at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The squads are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Williams has struggled recently with three defeats in a row, while Biggs will arrive with three straight wins.

On Friday, Williams came up short against Quincy and fell 21-13.

Williams might have lost, but man, Ricardo Medina was a machine: he rushed for 138 yards and a pair of scores while picking up 7.3 yards per carry. Matthew Cervantes helped out on the ground, rushing for 85 yards.

Meanwhile, Biggs was able to grind out a solid victory over Los Molinos on Friday, taking the game 28-21.

Williams better keep an eye on Skyler Long. He was instrumental in Biggs' win, rushing for 67 yards and three touchdowns.

Biggs was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 208 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 208 rushing yards in four consecutive games.

Williams' loss dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Biggs, their win bumped their record up to 5-3.

Williams was dealt a bruising 30-0 defeat at the hands of Biggs when the teams last played back in November of 2024. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Long, who rushed for 112 yards and one TD on only five carries.
