Baseball Game Preview: Glenn Eagles vs. Artesia Pioneers

For the second straight game, Glenn will face off against Artesia. The Eagles will venture away from home to face off against the Pioneers at 3:15 p.m. on Friday. Glenn has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the contest with four straight defeats, while Artesia will come in with three straight victories.

Things were looking good for Glenn after they put the first run on the board on Tuesday, but unfortunately for them things went downhill from there. They took a 4-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of Artesia.

Glenn got a good showing from Brandon Rivera, who didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over four innings pitched. The Eagles are 3-1 when Rivera allows three or fewer hits, but 4-14 otherwise.

On the hitting side, Glenn saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Evan Perez, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base.

Artesia's win bumped their record up to 15-7-1. As for Glenn, their loss dropped their record down to 7-15.
