Softball Recap: Starmont Takes a Loss

After flying high against Easton Valley on Tuesday, Starmont came back down to earth. The Stars fell just short of Easton Valley by a score of 11-10 on Tuesday. The Stars were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced Easton Valley earlier this season, when they won 10-0.

Starmont has also been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-7 record this season. Easton Valley's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-11.

Starmont didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 7-6 defeat against Springville on the 12th. As for Easton Valley, they will be playing at home against Edgewood-Colesburg at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Vikings' pitching crew has only allowed 3.2 runs per game this season, so Easton Valley's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
