Basketball Recap: Darlington Comes Up Short

Darlington lost against Cuba City back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Redbirds fell 51-44 to the Cubans.

When it comes to explaining why Darlington lost, don't look at Lilly Ritchie. Despite the final result, she almost dropped a double-double with nine points and ten boards. Another player making a difference was Sadie Goebel, who posted ten points and five rebounds.

Darlington's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Cuba City, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Darlington will welcome Platteville at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Cuba City, they will challenge Southwestern at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday.
