Basketball Recap: Science and Tech Stingrays vs. Taft Greyhounds
Science and Tech couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They had to suffer through a 49-16 loss at the hands of the Taft Greyhounds. The Stingrays just can't catch a break and have now endured four losses in a row dating back to last season.
Taft was led to victory by Josette Aparicio and Krista Amaya. Aparicio went 6 for 8 en route to 13 points plus three steals, while Amaya earned 15 points plus three steals. Another player making a difference was Aliana Torres, who scored eight points in addition to three steals.
Science and Tech does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Taft, they will be defending their home-court for the first time this season they go up against Kaufer at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
