Basketball Recap: Demarcus Henry Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Fountain Valley

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Mater Dei had no problem doing just that on Wednesday. They walked away with a 66-57 win over the Fountain Valley Barons. 66 seems to be a good number for the Monarchs as the team scooped up a victory with the same number of points in their previous game.

Mater Dei's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Demarcus Henry led the charge by almost dropping a double-double with 17 points and nine rebounds. Henry's evening made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least 15 points. Another player making a difference was Blake Davidson, who posted 19 points.

The win made it two in a row for Mater Dei and bumps their season record up to 21-8. As for Fountain Valley, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 19-10.

As of now, neither Mater Dei nor Fountain Valley have any future games scheduled.
