Mercer Island lost against Shorecrest back in January of 2020 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Mercer Island Islanders lost 66-45 to the Shorecrest Scots. The Islanders' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Mercer Island lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Elianna Weiss, who posted ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Izzy Russell, who had 11 points.

Mercer Island's defeat dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Shorecrest, the victory got them back to even at 5-5.

Mercer Island will be playing in front of their home fans against Kentlake at 7:15 p.m. on January 8th. As for Shorecrest, they are taking a road trip to face off against Edmonds-Woodway at 7:15 p.m. on January 8th.
