Softball Game Preview: West Jessamine Colts vs. Greenwood Gators

The West Jessamine Colts will head out to take on the Greenwood Gators at 9:00 a.m. on Thursday.

West Jessamine came into their game on Wednesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 10-3 to Paducah Tilghman. The Colts' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

West Jessamine saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Paige Hobgood, who scored a run while going 2-for-4.

Meanwhile, Greenwood had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8.5 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Wednesday. They put the hurt on the Indians with a sharp 12-1 victory. The Gators might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven contests by eight runs or more this season.

Greenwood's win bumped their record up to 12-3. As for West Jessamine, their loss dropped their record down to 7-6.
