Softball Recap: Riverdale Comes Up Short

Riverdale lost against Siegel back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Riverdale Warriors took a 9-5 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Siegel Stars.

Payton Hurst was cooking despite her team's loss, going 3-for-4 with one triple, one run, and one double. That triple marked the first that she hit this season. Another player making a difference was Camryn Jewell, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI.

Riverdale has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season. The win got Siegel back to even at 4-4-1.

Looking ahead, Riverdale will be taking part in a tournament against Washington at 10:00 a.m. on March 28th. As for Siegel, they will head out to square off against Rockvale at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
