Volleyball Recap: Lake Marion Takes a Loss

Lake Marion and Academic Magnet squared off in some playoff action on Wednesday, but Lake Marion had to settle for second. They lost 3-0 to the Raptors. The Gators just can't catch a break and have now endured three losses in a row.

Leading Academic Magnet to victory were Helina Lloyd and Lila Eberly. Lloyd had 11 digs and two aces, while Eberly had five aces. That's the most aces Eberly has posted since back in September. Emma Grace Pflug also deserves some recognition as she had her first block of the season.

Lake Marion's defeat dropped their record down to 7-10. As for Academic Magnet, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-10 record this season.

Lake Marion does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Academic Magnet, they will face off against Atlantic Collegiate Academy on Monday.
