Baseball Game Preview: Early Panthers vs. Greenwood Blue Jays

Early is preparing for their first district matchup of the season on Friday. They will host the Greenwood Blue Jays at 5:00 p.m. Greenwood took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Early, who comes in off a win.

On Thursday, Early needed a bit of extra time to put away Halfway. They skirted past the Cardinals 4-3. The Panthers haven't had any issues with the Cardinals recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive victory against them.

Conor Stockton was excellent, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with one stolen base and one RBI. Michael Doyle also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Meanwhile, Greenwood fell victim to Mountain Grove and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They came up short against the Panthers, falling 11-0.

Greenwood's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Early, the win got them back to even at 2-2.
