Recap: Idaho City Wildcats vs. Compass Charter Aviators
The Idaho City Wildcats lost against the Compass Charter Aviators back in January of 2020, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. Idaho City took a 36-30 hit to the loss column at the hands of Compass Charter. Idaho City has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Compass Charter was led to victory by Sophia Kartchner and Reanna Byers. Kartchner scored 13 points along with seven rebounds and five steals, while Byers scored 14 points along with three steals. That makes it six consecutive games in which Byers has scored at least 25% of Compass Charter's points.
Idaho City has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season. As for Compass Charter, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-6.
Idaho City won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Notus at 6:00 p.m. on December 21st. Hopefully Notus focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 19 on Monday. Compass Charter will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Victory Charter at 7:30 p.m. on January 2, 2024. Victory Charter is coming into the contest on a six-game losing streak.
