Football Recap: Pine Forest Takes a Loss

After flying high against Booker T. Washington last Friday, Pine Forest came back down to earth. The Eagles came up short against the Pace Patriots on Friday, falling 34-12. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Eagles of the 29-6 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

Despite the defeat, Pine Forest saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Tyler Floyd threw for 155 yards and a pair of TDs while completing 75% of his passes, and also rushed for 46 yards.

Pine Forest's loss dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Pace, the victory was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record up to 7-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Pine Forest will square off against Escambia at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Pace, they will take on Navarre at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
