Soccer Game Preview: Tyngsborough vs. Shawsheen Valley Tech

The Tyngsborough Tigers will head out to face off against the Shawsheen Valley Tech Rams at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.

On Tuesday, neither Tyngsborough nor Fitchburg could gain the upper hand so the two teams had to settle for a 0-0 draw.

Meanwhile, Shawsheen Valley Tech was not the first on the board last Tuesday, but they got there more often. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 victory over Greater Lawrence Tech.

Tyngsborough's draw gives them a new season record of 6-2-4. As for Shawsheen Valley Tech, the win got them back to even at 5-5-1.

Tyngsborough took their victory against Shawsheen Valley Tech when the teams last played back in October of 2024 by a conclusive 3-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Tigers since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
