Baseball Recap: Wendell Trojans vs. Melba Mustangs

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Buhl, Wendell was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They came out on top against the Melba Mustangs by a score of 8-3.

Cooper Jones made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He struck out 11 batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off five hits (and not a single walk). Jones has been consistent recently: he hasn't pitched less than six innings in three consecutive pitching appearances. Jones was also big at the plate, scoring two runs while getting on base in two of his four plate appearances.
