Portland Christian came tearing into  Thursday's  game with nine straight wins  (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 11.8 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They never let the Rock Creek Academy Lions get on the board and left with  an   18-0  victory. Considering the Eagles have won 16 contests by more than five  runs this season, Thursday's  blowout was nothing new.
 Eva Hidrogo made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound,   pitching three innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   one  hit. Hidrogo was also big at the plate,  going 2-for-3 with three  RBI, one  triple,  and one  double.
 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Piper Scott, who  got on base  in three of her four plate appearances with four  stolen bases, three  runs,  and one  double. She has been hot, having  posted  at least one  stolen base the last seven times she's  played.  Raya Heid was another key player,  going a perfect 3-for-3 with four  RBI.
 Portland Christian  always had someone on base and  finished the game having  posted an OBP of .750. That was just more of the same: they've now posted an  OBP of .578 or higher in three consecutive  matchups.
Portland Christian pushed their record up to 18-11 with the  win, which was their fifth straight  at home. The  home  victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 16.0 runs over those games. As for Rock Creek Academy,  they are  on  a  nine-game losing streak  (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.
 Both  squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Portland Christian will square off against Presentation at 5:30  p.m.  on Wednesday. As for Rock Creek Academy, they will have a little extra prep time after the  loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Cannelton at 6:00  p.m.  on  the 13th.
