Mount Airy Christian Academy strolled into their game on Thursday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They were the clear victors by a 19-6 margin over the Greater Grace Christian Academy Eagles. While Mount Airy Christian Academy didn't have the best season last year (they finished 3-7), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Joshua Johnson made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Johnson was even better at the plate, scoring three runs and stealing a base while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances.

In other batting news, Connor McElroy and Carter Kichler did most of the damage at the plate: McElroy got on base in all four of his plate appearances with four RBI, two runs, and one stolen base, while Kichler scored four runs while getting on base in all five of his plate appearances. Those four RBI gave McElroy a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Charlie Kichler, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4.

Mount Airy Christian Academy always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .591. That was just more of the same: they've now posted an OBP of .545 or higher in four consecutive matches.

Mount Airy Christian Academy's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 5-0.
