Softball Recap: Chapin Comes Up Short

Chapin and St. James squared off in some playoff action on Wednesday, but Chapin had to settle for second. They lost 8-0 to the Sharks. While getting shut out isn't ideal, the Eagles haven't been shut out since back in March.

Chapin's loss dropped their record down to 10-15. As for St. James, they pushed their record up to 25-1 with the victory, which was their 12th straight at home.

The two teams are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. Chapin will square off against North Myrtle Beach at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for St. James, they will face off against Conway at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Sharks' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Tigers have averaged an impressive 7.3 runs per game this season.
