Volleyball Game Preview: Albertville Aggies vs. Grissom Tigers

The Albertville Aggies are taking a road trip to take on the Grissom Tigers at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

Albertville is probably headed into the match with a chip on their shoulder considering St. Luke's Episcopal just ended the team's three-match winning streak on Friday. They fell 2-0 to the Wildcats.

Meanwhile, Grissom didn't have quite enough to beat Decatur Heritage Christian Academy last Saturday and fell 2-1.

In a back-and-forth that saw neither team win consecutive sets, Grissom sadly dropped the once that decided the match. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 19-25, 16-14.

Grissom's loss dropped their record down to 11-20. As for Albertville, their defeat dropped their record down to 26-15.

Everything went Albertville's way against Grissom when the teams last played back in September, as Albertville made off with a 3-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Aggies since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
