Basketball Game Preview: Perry Commodores vs. Columbus Grove Bulldogs

The Perry Commodores are taking a road trip to take on the Columbus Grove Bulldogs at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Perry is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They came out on top against Kenton by a score of 66-58 on Saturday. The Commodores didn't have much to brag about two games back, but this victory makes it their second in a row.

Meanwhile, Columbus Grove entered their tilt with Bluffton on Friday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They walked away with a 52-42 win over the Pirates.

Columbus Grove pushed their record up to 9-7 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.8 points over those games. As for Perry, their win bumped their record up to 5-15.

Perry came up short against Columbus Grove when the teams last played back in December of 2023, falling 60-50. Can Perry avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
