Volleyball Recap: Gaffney Comes Up Short at Home Against Union County

Gaffney unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They fell just short of the Union County Yellowjackets by a score of 2-1 on Tuesday. Surprisingly, this marked the Indians' fourth straight game in which the away team has come away the victor.

Gaffney started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last two. The match finished with set scores of 21-25, 25-22, 25-15.

The victory was the fifth in a row for Union County, bringing their record up to 5-2.

Coincidentally, Gaffney and Union County will both be playing Chesnee the next time they take the court. The Yellowjackets will head out to face the Eagles at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Indians will play them later in the day, at 7:30 p.m.
