Preview: Moffat County Bulldogs vs. Aspen Skiers
Moffat County has enjoyed the comforts of home their last four games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will square off against the Aspen Skiers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Moffat County focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 21 on Tuesday.
Last Tuesday, Moffat County earned a 51-39 victory over the Longhorns.
Ian Champ hafey continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 19 points and 12 rebounds. He hasn't dropped below 12 rebounds for four straight games. Alejandro Tarango was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with two blocks.
Meanwhile, Aspen waltzed into their matchup on Tuesday with 12 straight wins but they left with 13. They really took it to Grand Valley for the full four quarters, racking up a 67-36 win on the road. Aspen has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight contests by 22 points or more this season.
Moffat County's victory bumped their record up to 7-10. As for Aspen, they pushed their record up to 15-1 with that win, which was their ninth straight on the road.
Things could have been worse for Moffat County, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 67-52 loss to the Skiers in their previous meeting back in January. Can Moffat County avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
