Softball Recap: Crockett County's Win on Friday Extends Winning Streak to Four

Crockett County had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8.3 runs) and they went ahead and made it four on Friday. They put the hurt on Tournament Opponent with a sharp 7-1 victory. Considering the Cavaliers have won eight contests by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Anna Stallings tossed a big game, pitching six innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. Furthermore, she didn't allow a single walk, the first time she has blanked an opponent since back in April of 2024.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Piper White, who scored three runs and stole four bases while going 3-for-3. She has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times she's played. Another player making a difference was Hannah Carter, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-3.

Crockett County kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in four consecutive games.

Crockett County's win bumped their record up to 10-2.

Crockett County has already played their next match, a 10-5 defeat against Andrean on the 28th. As for Tournament Opponent, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, an 11-0 victory against Orrick on the 29th.
