If North Bay Haven Academy wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Walton, they should've done a better job of containing Kaden Fuentes. It took a bit of extra time, but the Braves secured a 47-46 victory against the Buccaneers in overtime on Monday thanks in part to Fuentes: he went 6-for-14 en route to 20 points and eight rebounds. Fuentes' evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least 20 points.

Elijah Odom was another key player, putting up five points along with six boards and five assists. He is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in each of the last four games he's played.

Defeat or not, North Bay Haven Academy got some senior leadership from Josuel Cruz and Kaverryion Walker. Cruz posted 16 points, while Walker put up 13 points.

Walton's record is now 12-2. As for North Bay Haven Academy, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-8 record this season.

Walton didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 39-25 win against Baker on the 13th. As for North Bay Haven Academy, they have also already played their next matchup, a 75-44 victory against Freeport on the 13th.
