Basketball Recap: Conneaut Comes Up Short

Conneaut lost against Perry back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Conneaut Spartans were dealt a 54-23 defeat at the hands of the Perry Pirates. While losing is never fun, the Spartans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 645th, while the Pirates are ranked 229th).

Conneaut has been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last ten contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-13 record this season. As for Perry, the win (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 13-5.

Conneaut will challenge Andrews Osborne Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Conneaut is facing Andrews Osborne Academy at the right time seeing as Andrews Osborne Academy is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Perry, they will host West Geauga at 6:45 p.m. on Wednesday.
