Volleyball Recap: Hammond Central Takes a Loss

Hammond Central lost against Hebron back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Wolves fell 3-1 to the Hawks.

Hammond Central started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 23-25, 25-17, 25-17, 25-18.

Hebron was led to victory by Tobias Wielert and Silas Wielert. Tobias had 21 digs and one assist, while Silas had 24 digs and 15 kills. Those 15 kills gave Silas a new career-high.

Hammond Central's defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Hebron, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-4.

Hammond Central has already played their next contest (against Munster), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Hebron, they have also already played their next match, a 3-0 loss against Washington Township on the 19th.
