Chelsea lost to Monroe back in September of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Tuesday. The Bulldogs were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Trojans.

The match finished with set scores of 25-6, 25-21, 25-12.

Sophia Stanavich paced Chelsea's offense, picking up 12 kills. Stanavich got some help from Lexi Cummer and her 36 assists. Cummer also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Sasha Henriksen, racking up two apiece.

Chelsea's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 20-7-1. As for Monroe, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-13.

Chelsea and Monroe could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Michigan Rankings. The Bulldogs will square off against Tecumseh at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday with a big rank disadvantage (94 vs. 21). Meanwhile, Monroe (ranked 345th) will meet Dexter (ranked 12th) at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
