Basketball Recap: Shamrock Gets the Win

If Groom wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Shamrock, they should've done a better job of containing Addison Jernigan. The Shamrock Irish took down the Groom Tigers 49-30 on Friday thanks in part to Jernigan, who posted 21 points along with seven steals and six rebounds. She is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last nine games she's played.

Another player making a difference was Ruby Baggett, who put up eight points in addition to seven boards and six assists. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in assists.

Shamrock's win bumped their record up to 16-9. As for Groom, they have also traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-13 record this season.
