Football Game Preview: Tunica Academy Blue Devils vs. Calhoun Academy Cougars

The Tunica Academy Blue Devils will square off against the Calhoun Academy Cougars at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Tunica Academy has given up an average of 43.7 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Tunica Academy is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another highly-ranked state team: DeSoto, who was ranked 11th in their home state at the time (Tunica Academy was ranked 16th). The Blue Devils were outmatched by the Thunderbirds and fell 36-0. The contest marked the first time this year in which the Blue Devils were not able to get on the board.

Meanwhile, Calhoun Academy scored the most points they've had this season on Friday, but it wasn't enough. They fell 68-64 to Columbus Christian Academy. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Friday (32), the Cougars still had to take the loss.

Tunica Academy is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-5. As for Calhoun Academy, they now have a losing record of 3-4.
