The Mountain Island Charter Raptors will face off against the Piedmont Community Charter Patriots at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Mountain Island Charter is headed into the game out to prove that what happened against Lincoln Charter on Wednesday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. The Raptors took a blow against the Eagles, falling 50-19. The loss was the Raptors' first of the season.

Cayla Bridgewater was Mountain Island Charter's leading scorer, having posted six points. Lucy Cook held things down on the boards with six rebounds.

Meanwhile, Piedmont Community Charter was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They had to suffer through a 66-33 loss at the hands of Thomas Jefferson Classical Academy.

Having lost for the first time this season, Mountain Island Charter fell to 3-1. As for Piedmont Community Charter, their loss dropped their record down to 1-6.
