After a string of six wins, Reedley's good fortune finally ran out on Wednesday. They took a 7-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Selma Bears. If the Pirates were looking for revenge after losing 9-0 to the Bears when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Reedley saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Rocky Garcia, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Reedley's defeat dropped their record down to 8-3. As for Selma, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 6-5.

While Reedley had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
