Cloverdale barely beat Fort Bragg the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Eagles put the hurt on the Timberwolves with a sharp 14-4 win on Tuesday. The Eagles might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight matches by ten runs or more this season.
Camryn Bird was a major factor no matter where she played. She pitched 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than one walk in seven consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.
In other batting news, Keiko Saito was a standout: she went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. That's the most runs she has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Lexie Hernandez, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with two runs, one double, and one RBI.
Cloverdale kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Fort Bragg only managed eight hits.
