Football Recap: Chaparral Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Chaparral played a tough matchup on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were dealt a 44-14 defeat at the hands of the Arizona College Prep Knights. The Firebirds have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Although Chaparral took the loss, they still got scores from Cruz Kieth and Jack Bryda.

Arizona College Prep's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Max Sasso led the charge by rushing for 68 yards and a pair of scores. Another passer making a difference was Evan Heinrich, who threw for 191 yards and one TD.

Chaparral now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Arizona College Prep, they pushed their record up to 3-0 with the victory, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season.

Chaparral has already played their next contest, a 41-2 loss against Canyon View on the 19th. As for Arizona College Prep, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 38-21 win against Sunrise Mountain on the 18th.
