Avon Old Farms is a perfect 10-0 against Trinity-Pawling School since May of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. Avon Old Farms is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Connecticut's top teams: Kingswood Oxford, who was ranked eighth at the time (Avon Old Farms was ranked fifth). The Beavers skirted past the Wyverns 4-2. Four seems to be a good number for the Beavers as the team scooped up a win with the same number of runs in their previous game.

Loomis Chaffee School hit Trinity-Pawling School with a four-run fifth inning on Saturday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Pride fell just short of the Pelicans by a score of 6-4. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Pride have suffered since April 20, 2024.

Trinity-Pawling School saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Manny Carreras, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one run and one RBI. Anderson Read also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.

Avon Old Farms' victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-1. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Trinity-Pawling School, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season.
