Basketball Recap: Moss Point Comes Up Short

Moss Point played a tough game on Tuesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They lost 59-34 to the Ocean Springs Greyhounds. The defeat continues a trend for the Tigers in their meetings with the Greyhounds: they've now lost seven in a row.

Despite the loss, Moss Point saw an underclassman step up: freshman Terrance Coleman posted ten points and five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Charles Nettles, who scored five points and five boards.

Moss Point's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Ocean Springs, their win ended a four-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 4-1.

Looking ahead, Moss Point will be playing in front of their home fans against St. Patrick at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Ocean Springs, they will challenge East Rankin Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
