Volleyball Recap: Frederic Find Success

Frederic won the last time they faced Birchwood and things went their way on Saturday too. The Vikings walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Bobcats. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Vikings.

Among those leading the charge was Gabrielle Denver-Deutsch, who had seven digs and five aces. Those five aces gave her a new career-high.

Denver-Deutsch wasn't the only good server: Frederic was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 11 aces. The Vikings are 4-2 when they serve at least ten aces.

Frederic's win bumped their record up to 5-7. As for Birchwood, they are on an 11-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-10.

Frederic has already played their next contest, a 2-1 victory against Cornell on the 20th. As for Birchwood, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-0 loss against Siren on the 20th.
