Football Game Preview: Fenton Bison vs. West Chicago Wildcats

The Fenton Bison will challenge the West Chicago Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Fenton has given up an average of 29 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

On Friday, Fenton came up short against Ridgewood and fell 35-27.

Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Omar Diaz, who rushed for 104 yards and one score, and also picked up 55 receiving yards and one TD. Angel Duran was another key back, rushing for 56 yards and one touchdown on only five carries.

Meanwhile, West Chicago lost to Riverside-Brookfield on the road by a 31-14 margin on Friday. The Wildcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Like Fenton, West Chicago lost despite seeing results from several players. Liam Zbierski led the charge by picking up 34 receiving yards and one score, while also rushing for 78 yards on only ten carries. Another player making a difference was Carter Naranjo, who rushed for 118 yards.

Fenton's defeat dropped their record down to 3-5. As for West Chicago, their loss dropped their record down to 4-4.

Fenton and West Chicago were neck-and-neck in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, but Fenton came up empty-handed after a 36-35 defeat. Thankfully for the Bison, Robert Lee (who rushed for 104 yards and a pair of TDs) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result? There's only one way to find out.
