Basketball Game Preview: Webster Bearcats vs. Sisseton Redmen

The Webster Bearcats will venture away from home to challenge the Sisseton Redmen at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Having struggled with three losses in a row, Webster turned things around against Wilmot on Friday. They took down the Wolves 54-38.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Sisseton). They took their contest on Tuesday with ease, bagging a 59-21 victory over Flandreau Indian. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win the Redmen have posted since January 16, 2024.

Webster's record is now 3-8. As for Sisseton, with the victory, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 2-6.

Webster took their win against Sisseton in their previous matchup back in January of 2024 by a conclusive 67-44. The rematch might be a little tougher for Webster since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
