The Lincoln North Star Navigators will face off against the Standing Bear Grizzlies at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Lincoln North Star will be strutting in after a win while Standing Bear will be coming in after a defeat.
Lincoln North Star is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Nebraska's top teams: Lincoln Southwest, who was ranked 20th at the time (Lincoln North Star was ranked sixth). The Navigators blew past the Silver Hawks 3-0 on Tuesday. The victory was familiar territory for the Navigators, who have now won three contests in a row.
Lincoln North Star got the W, but it wasn't easy, at least in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 30-28, 25-17.

Lincoln North Star relied on the efforts of Kendyll Jackson, who had 13 digs and one assist, and Kenadie Lantz, who had six digs and two aces. Those six digs gave Lantz a new career-high.
They weren't the only good servers: Lincoln North Star was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 12 aces. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Lincoln Southwest only served eight.
Meanwhile, Standing Bear came up short against Lincoln Southwest on Wednesday, falling 3-0. The Grizzlies haven't had much luck with the Silver Hawks recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.
While Standing Bear was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Lincoln Southwest's winning margin in every set. The final score came out to 25-21, 25-22, 25-23.
Lincoln North Star's win bumped their record up to 17-2. As for Standing Bear, their loss dropped their record down to 9-9.
