Volleyball Recap: Wilson Hall Takes a Loss

If Wilson Hall was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Orangeburg Prep on Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Barons lost 3-0 to the Laurens Academy Crusaders on Thursday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Barons have suffered since September 25, 2024.

The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 25-16, 25-19.

McKinley Bath paced Wilson Hall's offense, picking up 16 kills. Bath got some help from Natalie Hawkey and her 23 assists. Savannah Wells controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Wilson Hall's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Wilson Hall has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against Pee Dee Academy on the 19th. As for Laurens Academy, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-0 victory against Swansea on the 16th.
