Basketball Game Preview: St. Francis Indian Warriors vs. Clark/Willow Lake Cyclones

The St. Francis Indian Warriors will take on the Clark/Willow Lake Cyclones at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

St. Francis Indian is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Saturday. They pulled ahead with a 58-57 photo finish over Pine Ridge. The game was the first time the Warriors have beaten the Thorpes on their court since December 18, 2021.

Meanwhile, Clark/Willow Lake waltzed into their game on Saturday with two straight wins... but they left with three. Everything went their way against the Cardinals as they made off with a 65-43 win. The Cyclones have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 11 matches by 22 points or more this season.

Clark/Willow Lake pushed their record up to 18-4 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.0 points over those games. As for St. Francis Indian, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 13 of their last 15 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-6 record this season.
