Flag Football Recap: Ripon Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Ripon was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were dealt a 50-12 loss at the hands of the Hilmar Yellowjackets. While losing is never fun, the Indians can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California flag football rankings (they are ranked 379th, while the Yellowjackets are ranked 129th).

Ana Shriver threw for 232 yards and a pair of touchdowns. Mia Hendryx was her top target, picking up 163 receiving yards and two TDs.

Ripon's defeat dropped their record down to 10-12. As for Hilmar, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 17-4.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Ripon will face off against rival Sonora at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Hilmar is set to challenge their familiar foe Orestimba at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Yellowjackets 9.3, the Warriors 11) so any points scored will be well earned.
