Softball Recap: Westbrook Blue Blazes vs. Cheverus Stags
Westbrook was the 8-7 winner over Cheverus when they last played one another back in May of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. The Westbrook Blue Blazes lost 18-3 to the Cheverus Stags on Monday. Westbrook has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Haley Ball was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring two runs while going 2-for-2. The team also got some help courtesy of Emma Boulette, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2.
Westbrook's defeat dropped their record down to 3-11. As for Cheverus, the win for them keeps them at an undefeated 13-0.
Westbrook will be playing at home against Marshwood at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Cheverus, they will head out on the road to square off against Massabesic at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
