Basketball Game Preview: Evansville Blue Devils vs. Lodi Blue Devils

Evansville is 0-4 against Lodi since February of 2018 but things could change on Monday. Evansville will venture away from home to take on Lodi at 7:15 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

Evansville is headed into the matchup having just suffered their closest loss since November 20, 2025 on Tuesday. They fell just short of Cambridge by a score of 40-38. While losing is never fun, the Blue Devils can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin basketball rankings (they are ranked 263rd, while the Bluejays are ranked 105th).

Meanwhile, Lodi was beaten by Wisconsin Dells 70-18 last Monday. The defeat continues a trend for the Blue Devils in their meetings with the Chiefs: they've now lost five in a row.

Evansville's loss dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Lodi, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-7.

Evansville came up short against Lodi in their previous matchup back in January of 2025, falling 59-49. Can Evansville avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
