Football Recap: Paintsville Comes Up Short

Paintsville fell victim to Russell and their airtight defense on Friday. They were outmatched by the Red Devils and fell 41-0. The loss was the Tigers' first of the season.

Jayden Frasure continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Russell, throwing for 173 yards and three TDs on only 15 passes. Those three passing touchdowns gave Frasure a new career-high.

Having lost for the first time this season, Paintsville fell to 3-1. As for Russell, the win keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.

Looking ahead, Paintsville is taking a road trip to take on Frankfort at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Tigers will be up against the Panthers' rather soft defense (which has allowed 40 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Russell, they will host Blazer at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
