Volleyball Recap: Southern's Victory on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Southern had won two straight games and Taylor Roberts did her part to make it three on Tuesday. The Tornadoes put the hurt on the Belpre Golden Eagles with a sharp 3-0 victory with plenty of help from Roberts, who had 13 digs and six aces. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 2.2 aces per game.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Southern took every set by at least 24 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-0, 25-0, 24-0.

Southern's win bumped their record up to 17-2. As for Belpre, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-18.

Southern didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against Eastern on the 9th. As for Belpre, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 2-0 loss against Parkersburg on the 9th.
