Baseball Game Preview: Elgin Maroons vs. Glenbard South Raiders

Elgin is on a ten-game streak of home losses, and Glenbard South a three-game streak of away losses. However, someone's due for a change in luck on Thursday. The Elgin Maroons will be playing at home against the Glenbard South Raiders at 4:30 p.m. Elgin has given up an average of 9.3 runs per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Elgin fell victim to West Aurora and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They came up short against the Blackhawks, falling 12-0.

Riverside-Brookfield hit Glenbard South with a four-run fourth inning on Tuesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Raiders fell just short of the Bulldogs by a score of 7-6.

Glenbard South's loss dropped their record down to 14-16. As for Elgin, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-20-1.
